How to use the Ojibwe People's Dictionary

Note:
There is no simple independent word for small of the back; (upper part of) rump, rear end. A personal prefix goes with the dependent noun stem /=zhiigan-/ small of the back; (upper part of the) rump, rear end to make a full word: 
  • nizhiigan, inzhiigan the small of my back; (the upper part) of my rump, rear end (1s-0s)
  • gizhiigan the small of your back; (the upper part) of your rump, rear end (2s-0s)
  • ozhiigan the small of h/ back; (the upper part) of h/ rump, rear end (3s-0s)
These also name the top of the rump of a four-legged animal.
