The relationship of a child (abinoojiinh or abinoonjii) to a parent or parents is shown in a possessed noun using a dependent stem /=niijaanis-/ child with a personal prefix to make a full word:
  • niniijaanis my child (1s-3s)
  • giniijaanis your child (2s-3s)
  • oniijaanisan h/ child
    • [MN] oniijaanisan h/ child/children (3s-3')
