How to use the Ojibwe People's Dictionary

Note:
There is no simple independent word for liver. A personal prefix goes with the dependent noun stem /=kon-/ liver to make a full word:
  • nikon my liver (1s-0s)
  • gikon your liver (2s-0s)
  • okon h/ liver (3s-0s)

Individual speakers and speakers from different regions use different words when speaking. Each audio recording is marked with the initials of the Ojibwe speaker.
