Note:
jiigi- is prefixed to the singular form of a noun to form an adverb indicating a place close or nearby. Some examples are: jiigi-gizhaabikizigan 'by the stove', jiigi-ziibi 'by the river'. Some speakers form these adverbs with jiigi- and the locative form of a noun. An example is: jiigi-gizhaabikiziganing 'by the stove'.



Jiigi-gizhaabikizigan onji-baasan gidazhiganan.
