inner bark of basswood, basswood bark fiber

See also: wiigob na

Note:
In Anishinaabe communities today, this useful fiber is just called basswood bark or by the Ojibwe name wiigob. There is an English term for the fiber from the inner bark of trees, bast (or bast fiber), but it isn't a very common word.
